The duly filled application form along with the following documents have to be submitted to the Duty Librarian during the lending hours of the library i.e. from 8.00 am to 2.00 pm and 3 pm to 8.00 pm on all working days and from 8 am to 2 pm on Sundays.
(i) Two stamp size photographs (Including the one pasted in the application form).
(ii) Electoral Card / Driving Licence / Passport – (any one of the above)
(iii) Membership Fee (Refundable deposit) and Privileges
| A Class – Rs.400.00 | 5 Books & 2 Journals at a time. |
| B Class – Rs.300.00 | 3 Books & 2 Journals at a time. |
| C Class – Rs.200.00 | 2 Books & 1 Journals at a time. |
| D Class – Rs.100.00 | 1 Books & 1 Journals at a time |
| E class – Rs. 1500 | 3 books and 2 journals at a time |
State Central Library started providing temperary membership(E class) for 1 year to Central Goverment Employees who does’t have a permanent address in kerala as per G.O (Rt) No 931/2009/H.Edn. Dated 30-06-2009 . Attested copy of the applicants of ice identity card should be provided for E class membership.
There is no monthly subscription. The membership fee is refundable on withdrawal of the membership provided the member has no outstanding liability to the State Central Library, Thiruvananthapuram.
(IV), For Visually Impaired the Braille Membership is free (without any fee)
Note:In the case of students /children above 14 years of age, they should submit along with the application form the document (II) shown
above belonging to either parents or guardian. Students must bring aadhar card/ id card of parents along with the application form
Application form for Library Membership can be obtained free of cost from the Library property cum checking counter. There is also no
admission fee.
